The hard part with limiting food supply is that our “crazy cat lady” neighbor leaves cat food out all the time on her porch. I’m thinking a run may be best even though we wanted to take advantage of our fenced in 1/2 acre.
My wife did that for our barn cat (defeats the purpose of the cat wanting/needing to catch mice, but whatever) until she opened the front door to let the dog out before bed and a troop of 9 raccoons was crawling around!

No. they free range.
How would you recommend securing the porch so they can’t go under it? The 2nd and 3rd photos are where I’ve seen the Raccoon go/come out of. I was thinking about putting the coop off the tree in the last photos. Any thoughts are appreciated.

Lol couldn’t help but laugh at your comment in parentheses. I would be horrified to find that many raccoons!

I got a buddy whose wife feeds deer and coons. She has a heard of about 10 deer and a troop of about 20 coons that are all tame enough they eat with her sitting on the deck knitting. The deer will walk up to her living room window and lick it when they are hungry.

Thats funny we have "crazy cat lady" in my neighborhood that feeds the coons too! We have covered run for our girls. Also, buried wire 2 feet down all around coop and run! 5 years and NO losses from preditors!
