Best bait for trap in freezing temps

I did not get anything but im pretty sure its becouse we scared the thing and it was too scared to come back.But im resetting it and am hoping it comes back tonight!Rocky the pullet that got attacked is fine and is in a cage with Waffles my silkie in the basement.
