Hello! So I'm considering getting some chicks to show at the county fair for next year. I would be purchasing them in March. I'm also planning on showing some of my pullets (who will be full grown by the fair). But my question is, is there any bantam breeds that you would suggest to raise for show. I am for sure getting some millie fluer d'uccles.

The best breed is the one you are passionate about. If you are new to showing, usually it is recommended to start with a clean legged breed in a solid color. Choosing a breed that meets those criteria means you only have to worry about body type.

While no, I haven’t shown any birds (I plan on showing some soon!), i’d say simpler bantam breeds would be easier to show. I’d start with something like a White Leghorn bantam or a solid color OEGB.
