Friendly if handled young. I know my girl would love to live indoors if we were able to. They'd be better off inside anyway. She is a doclie bird with alot of character. She is my favorite bird in my flock. Vision restriction makes them a good breed to have in an indoor home.
However, I'm suggesting Sultans. I've never had or heard of any aggression issues with the breed. My rooster was the sweetest thing. And he loved human affection. He had no trouble being picked up and handled and followed our guests around when they came to visit. I have a pullet right now who is very sweet. Sultans do best indoors because they are sickly and are often more prone to illness than alot of other breeds. Both of my birds became ill young from different sicknesses but no one in their flocks ever became sick. (My rooster was not able to be brought indoors when he was sick and had to remain with his flock, still sick, for 3 weeks. Until I did take him away.) They were removed and brought indoors until they were better. My pullet just got sick because we've had a lot of rain up here. They don't do well outside in foul weather but are the friendliest breed I've ever dealt with.
