Best breed to go Broody

Silkies... I've had all 3 go broody on me at once.

i take day old chicks from my game hen and put fresh eggs under her and she will hatch those

my friend will do his games this way a third time. letting them sit 3 batches of eggs before giving them a break

but they like to sit eggs

My dad hatches pigeons outside all Winter. I hatched in February... a cochin and she did great!
