Golden Buff Orpingtons work well with RIRs.

Orpingtons are incredibly friendly and submissive I speak from experience DO NOT put an orpington with a rir the poor bird will be violently bullied.

I was very when I saw that, too... Assuming it's irony/trolling. Both Silkies or Orpingtons have a very high potential of being destroyed by a RIR.

We have kept Barred Rocks and Buff Rocks with RIRs without any real problems. The roos from each breed would get rowdy with each other with the RIR being the cock of the walk.

Leghorn, Buckeye, Delaware... Those might do okay. Everyone has had an exception to RIR's being aggressive but to play it safe, really don't put the very most docile chickens with them (btw obviously the post about BO's and silkies is a joke/troll.) I've had RIR's terrorize all of the more docile in my flock: Wyandotte, Creme Legbar, BO. I've also had one get along with my giant BO but I do think that was an exception. And now days given the extensive variety of Chickens to choose from I just dont get RIR's anymore. Problem solved for me, lot's of peace in the valley.....

Oh yeah good point, I did have RIR's and BR's together without major problems too.

Huh. I had three RIRs, two Buffys, and a Silkie once. No problems- they actually got along really well. Sorry If I was spreading false info.

It’s ok. I have two buff Orpingtons with my RiR one had to be separated because of a medical issue and when I re-integrated her she was bullied by my RiR . There are some special cases but it is often a poor choice to put those breeds together.

I have my RIRs with Barred Rocks and everybody gets along great!
