Best breed?

Yes I have all of those, my Astrplorp is very sweet and quiet, though my Buffs egg song is Soo loud! I can hear her squawking from the house!

That’s the issue with my cream legbar! She paces back and forth and will go up into the nest box then change her mind and come back down, over and over again, whilst cackling at the top of her lungs! She’s practically screeching. I wouldn’t mind but it goes on some days for around 3-4 hours and the neighbours understandably do not appreciate it. I love her to bits but I’ve made the tough decision to rehome So I would hate to have the same issue with another breed and have to rehome them too! Black australorps sound like a good choice so far! I am tempted to incubate some buff orpingtons but concerned about a noisy egg song again. Plymouth barred rocks seem like great chooks from what I’ve read, but I would like to hear what the consensus is from people that actually own them!
