Best breeds that are good with other chickens and kids?

I’ve got to get some more chicks, and we’ve mainly gotten Rhode Island reds, and no offense to RIR lovers, but those can be very territorial (meant to add jerks at times). I’ve gotten some lavender orps, and those temperaments seem good. Are Wyandottes good? Buff orpingtons? Also, anyone have a specific rooster breed they like, too?

I think bielefelders are a perfect breed for your set up! Bielefelders are very calm and beautiful roosters!

Speckled Sussex, Australorp, any color Orpington, and Cochins are known to be gentle and personable “generally” (always exceptions!)

And also Bielefelders (as previous poster mentioned)

Oh yes, they are beautiful! I just got 12 Welsummer pullets a couple weeks ago, and they are so sweet. Can’t wait till they start laying!
