Wyandottes are great all around birds and definite eye candy. When I look out on our chickens in the yard or pasture, my eye is always drawn to the beautiful Silver Laced Wyandottes. They lay well also. Are are’t cuddlers but they come our feet and occasionally fly up and sit on us. I hope I have SL Wyandottes always.
 
Agree, depends on what your goals are.
Of the breeds you have in your poll, I have a wyandotte, a marans, several silkies and have had ameraucana (not EE).
Of these breeds, the wyandotte is a good layer, though eggs are not huge considering her size. She is friendly.
The marans is a decent layer of gorgeous eggs. She is not as friendly as some, but pretty calm.
The ameraucanas I had, I found to be skittish.
The silkies are just cute little fluff balls and I have no problem at all selling straight run chicks. They are better layers than their reputation, though they go broody every 5 minutes. 😊
