Best broody breeds.

I know silkies are one of the number 1 broody breeds, but I know it’s extremely hard or expensive to get silkie hens or pullets so I wondering what some other good breeds are to hatch some eggs, preferably standard breeds but either way. Thanks,

All 4 of my Olive Eggers have gone broody. One has hatched 7 chicks and doing great so far.

I don't know where you are, but I'll give you some silkie hens. I'm blessed with them. I started out with two females and two males and they had many babies. Nobody seems to want them. They lay eggs all the time and are VERY broody.

I might get a silkie this coming week. It’ll be 2 months old so don’t know if I’ll get a hen. Thanks, hope I get a hen
