Best Broody Hen

It is a shame that the " broody" trait has been breed out of most breeds.
I question myself in wanting to reproduce a breed ( Delaware) that does not really want to follow through with the reproduction process. One of the reasons I am getting involved in chickens is to be more self sufficient. How can I be self sufficient sucking more electricity to raise a chicken that has no mothering instinct?

Please excuse my rambling. I was up till 12:00 last night finishing new coop for CB's I am picking up this afternoon.
