Just out of interest, what is the best broody chicken breed?

First,

Silkies are supposedly the best, followed by cochins, however both have had reports of not being able to cover their eggs well.

Most dual purpose chickens make excellent broodies, in fact I have a buff orpington brooding right now.

Layers like leghorns and rhode island reds are said not to go broody hardly ever, but it has happened. So... in my opinion I like the buff orpington, for it is generally reliable and a good mother. Hope this clears a few things up!
