That sounds awful! I can’t imagine it lasting months. Brew’s cough was so awful that I thought maybe he had something stuck in his throat. He’s feeling better now on his meds but still a little bit of a cough. I’m worried he’s going to give it to Luna. I read it can sometimes transfer to cats and people. She’s 12 so idk how she’d fareI had kennel cough once run through all my dogs. It was a long few months. Hopefully Brew feels better soon.
So cute!!Beefcake and ichabod
It took so long because it runs around 3 weeks, and mine got it one at a time. One would stop coughing and another would start. I think at that time I had 5 dogs, so it took 10-15 weeks. We were exhausted by the end of it. That coughing keeps a person from sleeping. That sounds awful! I can’t imagine it lasting months. Oh gosh that really does sound exhausting! And it really does! The other night neither one of us slept at all because he was up all night coughing/gagging and throwing up. Thankfully since being on the meds he’s been better and the vet also gave him a shot to help his GI system recover/feel better so that helped a lot but yeah. It’s awful to listen to! And I felt so bad for him because it sounds painfulIt took so long because it runs around 3 weeks, and mine got it one at a time. One would stop coughing and another would start. Maybe I’ll try it in cream cheese hahah he loves cream cheese. He’s way too smart though and pretends to swallow it then spits it when I let go of muzzle lol he spat it like 3-4 times even with it shoved far back before I got it. And he also clamps his mouth and makes it hard for me to open it lol maybe I need to actually put them in the throat though so they can’t come back up hahahPoor Brew. I've shoved so many pills down throats that I could do it blindfolded. Everyone is wise to my shenanigans, so either they accept what I'm up to and that cream cheese or peanut butter has a funky center, or they get it stuffed down their throat. Their choice.
