This is my buff Orpington x Rhode Island Red and I named her roger before I knew she was a girl haha. The name just stuck

Hey that's cool. I have a Jumbo Pekin duck who's name is Harvey. The only issue is I don't own any male poultry. YET !!

The pretty red is my Felonie.
She is our fourth bird which puts us one over the city's limit.
We called her "the felony hen" for so long it just became her name (with a slightly cuter spelling change.)

The barred rock is named Shythead. It's pronounced "Sh**head." The spelling is basically to make it facebook safe when we talk about it. The jury is out on whether it's a hen or a roo. (S)he is a pain in the butt, regardless.

My other two hens are a less creative Lacey, and Kate.
I adore my birds.

At first glance of your photo I'd have to say you have a pullet there, both of my Barreds were real nit wits too at first but now that they are laying they have become a lot more people friendly. In fact the one we call Betrice runs up and wants to be picked up all the time.

My two RIR's are Edna and Ethel. I have a Barred Rock named Velda, an Easter Egg named Agnes and a white Wyandotte named Velda. I call them The Biddies.

Velda is named after my mother. I told her, if she didn't stop teasing my about my new Chicken Obsession, I was going to name a hen after her. She thinks it is hysterically funny. My Mama is awesome.

Incidentally we also have two dogs. The Pom-Dachshund mix is named Rat-Deer (my boyfriend says he is small like a rat, but colored like a deer) and the Mini Pinscher is named Jumping Bean (we just call him Bean) because he jumps and jumps until it seems like he is on springs.
