Best chickens?!?

Can u guys tell me all of your chickens egg laying behavior so I can decide on what breed of chickens I will get? I especially love the chickens with REALY dark eggs or colorful eggs.

Hello & welcome!

I strongly suggest you look through the Hendersons chicken chart - it gives you a good overview of what to expect from what chicken, you should be able to Google it. From personal experience I can tell you that Welsummers are good, consistent layers of dark brown, speckled eggs. Marans lay an even deeper chocolate colored egg, but I don't think they are as prolific as Welsummers. Consistent layers of brown eggs - RIR, Delaware, barred rocks. These are the only chickens I have experience with, but I'm sure you will get many more helpful posts from others. Good luck,
