Hands down - Muscovy ducks are the best dual purpose. They get huge, are quiet, lay great and raise babies like no other. Give me a pair of Muscovies any day!

I'll vote for call ducks...they're great to have around when you don't have someone to talk to, and they serve well as cuddlers...great to avoid having lots of embarrassing stuffed animals around the house...

I'm really impressed with my Saxony. She's a big girl ,very pretty, and has laid a jumbo green egg nearly every day since I got her back in August. I plan to hatch out some of her eggs in the spring.

Muscovies are considered one of the best eating ducks..they are leaner than most, so the meat isn't greasy.
They are also the most entertaining to watch..lol!!
