Best Ducks For Eating?

I'm Insterted In Raising A Few Ducks For The Dinner Table And Was Wondering Which Breed Is The Best And How Long Do They Take To Grow Before It Is Butcher Time?

I dont personally like duck, but i've heard people say pekin and muscovy are good to eat.

muscovy are good, It's much leaner than pekin duck.

The Pekin is the number ONE meat duck in the world. This is self explanatory after one eats this duck.

Muscovy as i understand it.. but not like i'll find out. thats what happens when you ask your tough-guy husband to take care of the ducks, then he goes and gets all goo-goo eyed over them and now he wont be the hatchet man for the ducks!

This pretty much says it all for me, boneless skinless Muscovy duck breasts

Matter of fact we are having some tonight in a stir fry, dinner will be about 7-ish. Call ahead for reservations.

you have no idea how exasperated i am over the whole affair! no supper AND i basically have to pry the ducks out of his hands to get my $$ from willing and excited customers!

to add salt to the wound... he gave the hatchet to my favorite little rooster! but no duck! are you kidding!?!?! have to say tho.. little rooster was pretty good chicken n dumplins....
