Hi all, I purchased 4 little Mallard ducklings this summer, and they have grown to juvenile stage, and I see that 3 are drakes and only 1 is a female duck. They are pretty near fully adult looking- the green heads are partially green- not fully. I will be butchering 2, because 3 males to one female is asking for trouble. The last time I had an over-abundance of drake Mallards, they ganged up on one and broke his neck, sadly. So, to avoid a similar scenario, I will butcher two. But, what is the best time to do that?
