Yes Muscovy is very lean, but all home raised ducks seem to be. I can remember buying duck in the store...... yes my shame is great but there was a time, and it was just dripping oil when we cooked it.


Not a problem girl - we always make plenty.

Well, along with commercial feed, a lot of us are freeranging our ducks or supplementing with greens, bugs, etc...

Those commercially raised Peking ducks are being fed mostly corn and soy.

How Long Does It Take For Them To Get To Butchering Size?

We go by size more than time, about 4 months.
