Hi guys just wanting to know what brand of feed you guys use and recommend for teenage and adukt chickens. Manna pro, naturewise, purina, countrylane, and anyother usually seen at local feed stores. Thanks in advanced!

Purina, it's not the cheapest, but there is a visible difference in their eggs and overall health. I had to switch to nutrena and they didn't like it and laid weird eggs for a while. Now that I'm back using Purina they're thriving great, very happy birds.

:welcome

I feed Starter/Grower 20% from a local mill (Bartlett Mill) and I provide oyster shell in a separate container for my laying chickens.
There is no "best brand", it is more important to pay attention to the mill dates on the feed you are buying, the chickens like it and your happy with it.

Ya im currently feeding purina stsrt and grow and was trying to decide actually between purina layer and nutrna nature wise. I beleibe i will srick eith purina. I definetly dont mimd the higher price tag if my girls will be healthier and lay better! Thanks!!

No problem! I get the Purina Layena Omega 3 crumbles, because my girls are picky and don't like pellets lol

That was my plan. Read it makes for healthier eggs. Ya my girls and boys are super picky as well. All they want is their crumbles, mealworms, and sunflower seeds. They will not touch any other foods like the older birds mt gma has. Will the layer feed be ok for my three boys?

The best feed is what is available locally and fresh AND fits your budget.
Feed prices vary all over the world depending on both your location and your store.

Here are these feeds side by side...their guaranteed analysis:
(I am not sure which Purina layer feed you are talking about so I included two)

It will be okay. I feed all my main flock boys layer feed and have for 6 years.

But it is healthier for the boys to be fed Flock Raiser, there's just no way to give it to them while they are with the hens. If you ever separate your boys I suggest feeding Purina Flock Raiser, it's cheaper and healthier for cockerels/roosters. While they're with your girls It is okay to feed them layer feed. :)
