Hi! I was wondering if anyone knew of a fly spray that worked very well. I think @KikisGirls may have posted this somewhere? Thanks in advance!

How do you use it to reduce flies around the coop?Permethrin works well for flies.

I have in the past sprayed the outside of my coop with it to prevent flies and it has worked. How do you use it to reduce flies around the coop?
Ok. So it’s safe to use around chickens even if they may inhale it? Do you use both brands of permethrin together?I have in the past sprayed the outside of my coop with it to prevent flies and it has worked.
I use these sprays on my horses and my dogs and my patio area...if I know we are going to be hanging out eating on the patio I will spray it before we head outside.
And if we are going to be going in and out the back door I will spray it on my door and my window...The flies land on the window and die quickly.
I don't know of a fly spray but I do know of an amazing fly trap! Its called rescue fly trap, Ill try and link one. I live in a dry climate and it works amazing for me, I know I did have a few humid days and it did not work so well. I had to throw it out after 5 days because there were about 4" of flies in it!! Full! I hung it on the outside wall of my coop in the shade, the flies just swarm out of the coop (I have a swamp cooler for my coop, its cool so the flies like it in there lol) hope this helps!Okay, thanks! I picked up some Permethrin spray at TSC today![]()
I don't spray it on the chickens to prevent flies but yes permethrin is safe to use on them.Ok. So it’s safe to use around chickens even if they may inhale it? Do you use both brands of permethrin together?
Thank you Kiki. I am going to TSC so I will pick some up.I don't spray it on the chickens to prevent flies but yes permethrin is safe to use on them.
It settles quickly.
Right now I have a bottle of the Martin's one pictured above and I have a bottle of the Martin's concentrate that I mix with water in a regular old spray bottle.
I used the other one pictured above for YEARS but have recently switched to only using the Martin brand products.
Well to be honest I just like how the Martin's is labeled for poultry and it is the same price as the other one but the label made the difference.Thank you Kiki. I am going to TSC so I will pick some up.
If you don’t mind me asking why have you switched to only using the Martin brand of permethrin?
