best food and treats to feed pigeons.

I don't have enough birds to buy 50lb bags of pigeon feed, and I'm not sure if I can find it if I could. so I kinda need to make my own food. Right now they are being feed chicken starter and cracked corn. But I wanted to get them on a diet of seed and such.

can I use wild bird feed? what am I looking for when choicing food.

I think wild bird feed would work.

Would not feed crack corn, bad for pigeon, feed whole grain.

We feed wild bird "Favorite" sold by agway, they sell it in 5-50# bags, so there should be a size you'd be happy with(This mix is like a "finch mix" but beefed up). We also mix in gamebird crumbles with our pigeon mix.

we feed ours wheat, whole maize, maple peas and pellet.

for treats, canary mix, sunflower, safflower and linseed.
