Hello again! Today I am looking for the best type of food for roos or roosters. My local feed store does not supply food for roosters. I go to Tractor Supply Co. for all my needs. I am expecting a serama roo for my hen. If possible I would like to feed him different food not meant for laying hens or chicks. What would you guys recommend for him? Thank you guys for your help!

Same here..,,All Flock or even Grower, depending on which our local feed store has in stock and/or whichever has the best freshness date. Since the feed store is a 50 mile drive one way, I took what they had. This worked great for my mixed flock of roosters, assorted ages of chicks, layers and freeloaders. A little oyster shell in a separate container for thelayers and I was all set. One flock, one food. Can’t keep them out of each other’s food anyway.

love how this is made by nutrena but I don't think that they have it at my TSC. Thank you so much!!!

Put your state in profile. The Milky Way is too vast, for us to be of much help in recommendations to you.
In my neighborhood, TSC carries Purina Flock Raiser. You can also feed a non-medicated Starter Grower. Look for 18-20% Protein.
If you have a small flock, get a small bag of feed. My local TSC has Purina Flock Raiser in a 5# bag and non-medicated Start & Grow in 25# bags, as well as Du-Mor 20% Starter/Grower in 10 and 20# bags. GC
