Just wondering what the best freezer method is for storing our chicken meat. We're starting with ziploc freezer bags. How long will they last in the freezer this way?

I use a Foodsaver to package mine and they will last a long time. If you don't have one, try using the heavy-duty freezer zip bags. Get as much air out as you can and double-bag them. Storing in a chest freezer will make them last longer than the freezer w/ your fridge.

    1) Slaughter

    2) Leave in fridge 2 days

    3) Freeze using a FOODSAVR. Go, buy one, it will change your life.

If vacuum sealed, the quality of the meat will not diminish up to a year. If put in a Ziploc bag, it's closer to 2 months. Too much air can get in there. If you only have ziploc bags, double bag them and get as much air our as possible.
