I have Bobwhites and Texas A&M's was just wondering what everyone's opinion on the different brands are as I have several feed stores close by and several brands to choose from. Is there any particular one to stay away from? Some of the different brands I can remember are Purina,Wendland,MG,Lonestar. Thanks for input

There are no layer feed, per say, for quail. Any gamebird or turkey feed will work for quail. Try to keep the protein level at least 24%. 28% is better for the layers if you can get it. I have tried Hy-Pro, Manna Pro and Purina feeds and my quail seem to like the taste of the Manna Pro the best. The consistancy of the crumbles is constant also. Always offer up crushed oyster shell or even cuttle bone for the layers.

Kent has 28% medicated starter or 27% unmedicated. They also have 22% flock raiser. I like their feeds and my flock is doing well on it.
