Best Hatchery?

What is the best hatchery for you? I am having a hard time deciding on wich hatchery to go with!

I've only dealt with Ideal Poultry, and I really like them.

I've only dealt with MPC and I always recommend them, great customer service!

Purely Poultry-they are brokers but very nice and never a problem with my chicks They run out of the box very healthy and are overall nice birds..mine have all been shipped from Privet and they have less than great customer service..so I go through Purely for them.
Ideal-ordered some bantam cochins this spring..nice if you want a bald chicken..I'm not impressed it has NO feathers other than on it's wings..oh well less plucking come bantam cochin eating day

McMurray-Spring order this year half dead...second attempt coming tomorrow if they are dead again I'm done with them.

I've only ordered from Cackle, but I was very happy with them! They sent about 8 packing peanuts with my order for 45 chicks, and not a single chick died en route!

I suppose it depends upon what you want.

Some hatcheries sell some breeds almost exclusively.

I lost a bunch of chicks that I ordered from McMurray in the first two days, but the survivors where big and beautiful and laid well.

I've raised chicks from both Ideal and Cackle and Privett. The Delawares from Cackle are spectacular.

My brother swears by Marti.

At present, I'm hatching my own eggs and ordering eggs from great breeders.

cackle is really great! great birds, excellent cust. service. never had a doa even once from cackle. healthy, vigorous, good looking birds.
i dont like mcmurry though.

I got 50 golden comet pullets and 25 Gl wyandottes straight run from ideal a week ago. Actual count is 78 and all are doing very well.
