Best horse for Endurance riding...? (for fun thread)

My Quarb & Mustang did pretty well in endurance rides for beginners. I did it just for fun, my friends I rode with were a little more serious. My Quarb is a good mix of both breeds. Loves people, loves to please, loves to go on trails and travel, heavier build than a pure Arab, plenty of spunk and smarts but listens and is controllable and trustworthy. Big Big Heart.
My Mustang has a stocky build, but is very strong,. She is level headed, a bit of a lazy streak if you let her but good at keeping pace and get up and go if need be. She is surefooted and knows how to avoid problems in the terrain. She has big feet and bone, big nostrils... Not easily excited .... level headed. Also both are easy keepers.

So true. Those mules are tough.

This is a friend of mine that does endurance. Her blogs are long, but she covers most of the things that a pit crew will run into on the rides. They are unglossed and detailed. Stories of her rides are listed on the middle of the page. http://www.zegifts.com/Stories5.htm
