Emit my 9 year old Call duck has tried to sit this time on her eggs earlier this year, however, she left the nest. She has started laying again, should I leave her again with them and hope she stays or should I attempt to incubate? If so what’s the best incubator to get ?

She had successfully brooded eggs before and she is such a good mummy, At one stage a few years ago I have two pheasant eggs under her , unfortunately only the one pheasant hatched, it’s only been within the past year and a half that she has lost interest?

Get a forced air incubator not still air because they have a more even temperature. You can get whatever type you want. I personally prefer the styrofoam incubators just because that’s all I’ve ever used. Get a thermometer and hygrometer to put inside even if the incubator has readings on it because many times they are off even if they are new. Make sure they are calibrated as well.

When you get the incubator look for the Hatch a Longs and we will help you with the rest once you get the incubator.
