Well I dont know about Brinsea one's.LG"S Gaaaaaaaaa.I have two of those beer cooler's(fish bait keeper's) running now.Probably have better luck chilling my beer's(or hot one's).I only owned ONE good incubator and it wasn't cheap Sportsman 1502. If you want to hatch smaller number's I have heard fairly good thing's about the brinsea's and even the hovabator's.I couldn't say as I have never owned either.I got 2 broody hen's right now and between my Styro nighmares and the 2 hen's the hen's will most likley hatch the most.

I have a Lyons Turn -X ,made in America ,works excellent ,I have had great hatches extremely reliable ,yet a little expensive but anything thats made in the U.S.A. is very well made ,I'm sure you'll agree

I have a Brower Top Hatch, it was given to me, so I accepted it. I've never used anything else to compare.

It has an automatic turner and the thermostat works really well. It's more primitive than a lot of the ones I see mentioned. I would rather have digital thermostat control for one.

First Google shopping result I found:

Price: $159.99

It's simple, but it works. My very first hatch was 6/6. My second was 2/5 and entirely my fault, not a great idea to stagger batches with only one incubator. Third goes in Thursday when I put in 4-6 more eggs.

If I had to buy one to test it out, see if it was something I was into, I'd probably buy one of those Brinsea mini digital units. If I had to replace this one, I'd probably build my own. This does a lot of eggs (48 chicken) for the price though if you don't want to DIY.

You can put marbles in the water reservoir to avoid this worry. Mine has tiny little marbles in it that came with the game. You could use regular marbles, or those flat ones from the craft section, too.

Because I'm hatching Quail, this was even more important. They are tiny little things in comparison to those reservoirs!
