I am going to be introducing a few adopted pigeons to my chicken coop, and I'm wondering the best way to go about this so that my chickens don't harass or pick on them. Should I treat this as if I were introducing more chickens (sneak 'em in when everyone is asleep)? The pigeons have perches, nest box and a feeding area out of the chickens' reach. I don't know if they'll use the actual coop or just spend all of their time in the run. There are only two chickens that I am concerned with, as far as bothering newbies. Everybody else is very passive and has never bothered with harassing newly introduced chickens. Should I remove those two from the coop, let the pigeons settle in and then return the bratty girls after a week? I want to avoid any possible incidents or injuries to the pigeons.
