Hey there,
I'm getting hens soon and I'm not sure which kind of coops are the best, so if you have any recommendations please reply back. Also if you know a good brand of chicken food/bedding, please also reply back.
Thanks !

How many chickens are you getting? I like Dumor brand chicken food and love pine pellets in my coop. Have fun with your new hens:)

The best coop will be built by you, if you are handy. If not, maybe a friend or relative? It's cheaper (esp if you can get reclaimed materials), you can build in certain features you want, and build it to last. As for food, I also like dumor. And use pine shavings in my bedding. Have fun with your chooks!

We have five ladies are free-ranged during the day. Their sleeping quarters and coop is a repurposed playhouse with chicken wire over the openings and the sort of lock where you lift and pull (sorry, no idea what those are called :lau). There's just enough room for a good-sized nesting box, a roost, and a waterer (their feeder is kept outside). I think the roost could even fit six or seven but it would be a bit snug - we have one bantam. Of course, this won't work if you plan on getting more but I just wanted to throw that out there!

yea lol I'm not that handy but maybe my sister could build it and thank you for responding back!
