Best layers of white eggs, no white birds though

What is the Minorca's personality, if I might ask?

I do not know the breed very well, but the feedstore/produce near me has had LF and Bantams, and I have to say I was suprised how nice they were. A little flighty, but overall pretty nice. They were in with a Millefleur OEGB and a White/ish OEGB

Game breed and old english best layers? Gimme a break, with their broodiness when they have time to lay eggs. LOL

As for the rest of the list I can Google the list of white egg layers or go to featherside for details on particular breeds.

I am looking for personal experience with breeds, not for a list of white egg layers anybody can get off the web.

I would suggest Campines. Mine are my best egg layers. They lay like crazy, never go broody and are beautiful birds. The only downside I see with them is if you are looking for an XL/Jumbo egg. Most of mine only lay a large egg.

Which do you want to know about?

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my brown leghorn.... wish like crazy I had more like her.

She is flighty and does not like to be handled, but will come near and take treats from your hand...

VERY VERY dependable laying...going on 2 yrs and she is a laying machine, with one nearly every single day ( except for fall molt--she takes a about a month off around Nov to put on new glamourous plumage. )

go w. brown leghorn! I believe you would be very very pleased.

I have white faced black spanish and they do large large white eggs but they are very flighty.. I kinda like that in there personality but they are not your sit on your lap kinda chickens. I also have silver spangled hamburgs. Not the largest of the white egg layers but they are a nice docile breed. I have yet to have either of the above breeds go broody.

I got five Buff Minorca freebies from McMurray and they were VERY flighty compared to my dual-purpose breeds. They were awesome summer layers of big white eggs though and good winter layers. Never went broody.

Breeds I would recommend for high production of big white eggs are...
Buff Minorca
Black Minorca
Ancona

Hamburgs are also excellent layers of medium-size eggs.

Minorcas are better for hotter climates, and Anconas and Hamburgs are better for colder climates.

Andalusions are good layers of white eggs, they start laying early and lay a lot of eggs, do not go broody. They are great forages and are great at staying out of trouble.
