Best Leg Bands?

There are so MANY out there! I'm a new flock keeper. I have numerous reasons for needing to know who is who. Do leg bands hurt the chickens?

Only if they out grow the band and it isn't removed

Thanks! Mine are 21 weeks old, will their legs get any bigger? Do you have a type/brand of leg band you like?

Yes, their legs will grow. What ever you decide to use, you need to check the bands to make sure they have not gotten too small, and replace when needed. I use colored zip ties. Blue = 2020 and goes on their left leg. Second color goes on right leg, to tell them apart.

I just use zipties. That way I don't spend 20 bucks on a pack that might be the wrong size

When ours were little we used those rainbow loom bands the kids make bracelets out of. Now we use the bands from TSC.
