I am so new to chickens my first ones are due in the mail next week.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?

Buff Orpington females
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Eggs! Sweet pets! My teenagers are excited and they might actually go outside!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I love movies and reading. I am learning to bake bread and we have an organic garden.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
We are a blended family of five kids and four dogs. Three of our kids are teenagers, one living with us most of the time and two come on weekends. One is 20 and lives with his dad and the other is 25 and lives in Portland, OR.
Our four dogs: We have two terrier mixes, and chihuahua and a golden lab/border collie mix that goes back and forth with the weekend kids. We just got married and bought a two acre property last May, and we are thrilled beyond belief about finding each other and that our kids love each other. I work for a non-profit group home/school and my husband is a solar designer.
