I looked a best mite spray to deal with mites or lice on chicken, bed bugs and dust mites at home and poultry farm. I read a lot of mixed reviews on different websites like Amazon, Consumer Reports, Healthline, and Reddit. After doing some research, I have shortlisted two options:

Premo Guard Poultry Spray - 128 oz - Kill Scaly Leg, Mites

Premo Guard Mite Treatment Spray – 128 oz – Kills Dust, Human, Scabies, Spider

Many people seem to recommend these two, but I am confused about which one is more effective and safer for long-term use.

Has anyone here tried either of these mite sprays? Which one would you recommend for both bed bugs and dust mites? Any tips or personal experiences would be really helpful!thanks in advance.

Here, the vast majority of members use Permethrin/garden spray or powder for mites or lice on their chickens and in their coop. It's also way cheaper.

I didn't know if it kills bed bugs or dust mites in addition to those, so I checked and it does.

In addition, cottonseed oil can be harmful to poultry.

So the Poultry Spray is for use directly on poultry. It is used to remove mites, lice, fleas etc, and it is also used as a preventative directly on chickens, ducks, turkeys, etc. The poultry spray can also be used in the coop, runs, nesting materials, etc. also to get rid of those pests and as a preventative. The Mite killer spray is not intended for use directly on any animals. It can be used around the coop too for larger pest infestations (the poultry spray is probably better). Both products are non toxic. The poultry spray has no egg withdrawal period too which is a great bonus.

Welcome to BYC? Have you used both products?
