Thanks for an opportunity to reflect. If asked, I would say that I LOVE comedy. However, my choices for best film are all serious:

BEST
* Pan's Labyrinth
* Kite Runner
* 300
* City of Men
*Last King of Scotland

WORST
* The newest Indiana Jones ("Indiana Jones and the Crystal Walker" - ha. "Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Hip Replacement.")
* Mr. & Mrs. Smith (How can two sexy people be so unsexy together?)
* Eyes Wide Shut (Answering the previous question...)
* Flintstones movie w/Rosie O'Donnell
BEYOND TERRIBLE
* Harold & Kumar go to Guantanimo Bay

Gosh there are so many movies I really like and would watch over and over again...(and have

)
Tristan and Isolde (and any other movie that is set in that timeperiod - I'm a "geek" for those types)

Any Sam Elliot, Deniro, Pacino, or Eastwood Movie
Ben Stihler movies (I think he's funny as hell)
George Clooney has some good ones as does Mark Wahlberg and Bruce Willis
Tom Hanks and Denzel Washington movies too...

Oh man, too many to list on the good ones but BAD ONES

worst movies: I cant stand Juliette Lewis so I'd have to say anything with her in it (Other than Deniro's movie when she was younger and starred in it ...with Nick Nolte..what was the name of that one?? *thinking*)

I agree that Dances With Wolves is one of the all time best!

The Bucket List
The Count Of Monte Cristo
The Quiet Man
Forrest Gump (of course)
Awaking Ned Devine
The Man Who Went Up A Hill And Came Down A Mountain
Stargate
Tombstone
The Sacketts

Hmm... Choices choices.

If we must talk Hollywood:

The Ninth Gate - before Johnny Depp sold out.

Canadian

eXistenZ - excellent sci-fi movie. Actually all of Cornenberg's work is great.

And because I am a huge fan of the TV Show:

Trailer Park Boys; The Movie - the show ended it's 7 season run this December. It's a east coast Canadian production, available on Showcase. Unfortunately, it was only picked up by a small amount of stations in the US, so most of you would never hear of this show.

There are tons of other 'foregin' movies that could make my list, but I'll leave the exploration to you all :)

And now... the worst (Sadly, made in Ottawa):

Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter - (Religious undertones aside) it has been the worst independent attempt at action-horror I have ever seen. Worse still, the cast and producers have degrees from the same university as me...
