Best place to buy eggs? Best selection?

I just ordered my bator so am not in a huge hurry (yet) but am looking for info:

Who are the best places to buy hatching eggs? I need big, cold hardy varieties like Brahma, NHR, Delaware, Wyandottes-that type of thing. I'd like 2 dozen and don't mind paying for them and the shipping.

I would try and find someone close who is in AK.

Have you tried to get to know the folks in the AK thread?

That's where I'd start.

I would buy from a breeder. There are a lot of eggs for sale on here under hatching eggs for sale. Find someone that has the breed that you want and ask questions. Most breeders love to talk about their birds. I know I do.

I'm in SE AK and from what I've seen thus far, the other AK peeps are up north- just as far from me as WA is- nothing is close here. I'd like not really show quality, but a bit closer to type if possible.
