I’m so sorry for your loss! I understood how precious she is to you and how much you loved her from all of your posts about her. She was a gorgeous chicken and will be missed.

Yeah I am still really heartbroken about it. I keep finding more of her feathers in the run. Turned out the culprit was a very mangy fox.

I sympathize. Foxes are the worst. Killed half of my flock a couple years ago. The fox will be back so be ready.

I would like to enter another of my chickens... I don’t know if she still classified as a chick, or if she’s now a pullet but she’s just 12 weeks old.

Her name is Flossy (although she started like as Punk, but felt that was more of a boy’s name), and she is a frizzle chamois Polish. She has a sister called Queenie who is the smooth variety, and they always hang around together. She was raised by a tiny booted bantam who she still follows around!

She is a keen digger, so she is often found with filthy feet, beak and crest... as seen here!!
