Best Rooster breed?

Looking for the best breed of rooster for protecting my hens but also friendly towards me. Any suggestions?

Well if your going bantam then d’Uccle in my opinion. Bantams in general are easier to handle because even if they are jerks you can just pick em up and walk around with them until they learn some manners

Every person who posts here will have a different answer, because the truth is that roosters vary a lot more by individual than by breed.

So whatever breed of rooster that you want fathering chicks, and don't make a pet out of him.

Im always going to say Faverolles, majority are beyond what you'd expect a gentle, laid back damn good working rooster to be.
