Unfortunately we had to take Tonka back to the lady we got him from. The neighbors complained about him, which we were okay with because he was not nice to his hens.

Hi, folks! Thanks all for participating! I'm so sorry the contest hasn't been judged yet. I had to be out of the office until today with a major home issue, but I'm going to take a look at all the entries now, and the other judge will do so as well, and we'll get a winner announced as soon as we can!

Winner announced! First, thanks to ALL who participated - this is the first time I ever came up with a fun contest, and I think ALL the pictures are really, really neat. It was difficult to judge, and special thanks go to Ondra's seramas for co-judging.

I was somewhat surprised that we both decided on the same entries for winner and runner up...that has to NEVER happen!

WINNER: Year of the Rooster for the Silke picture. It was a really neat picture at an unusual angle.

RUNNER UP: WriterofWords for Popcorn! I think this picture epitomizes (sp?) what folks think of when they visualize a rooster crowing!!

HONORABLE MENTION goes to: nzpouter for the Sebright and vnploveschickens for Herman. That close up of Herman was a gorgeous picture, and nzpouter's Sebright was putting his heart and soul into his little crow - I can almost hear him!
