Anyone know a good source for meaties in the PNW? The guy I ordered from was supposed to deliver by April 9...now they won't be here until May 22. Grrr
He also said he is done for the year and we will need a second batch.

I don't know any local sources, but a farmer near me who raises meat chickens says she's tried all the major hatcheries and her pick are the jumbo cornish rocks from McMurray. She also swears by sour raw milk (she raises dairy cows too) - feeds it to them and they love it and it keeps them healthier. Fermented feed, yogurt and ACV are probably comparable in their effects as the sour milk.

Central Hatchery has great pricing, delivered on time and even sent 4 extra. They are all healthy and of good size. I got 50 + the 4 extra for $60. They are located in NE.

i was on there site today. i was amazed at their prices. however i am in south pa.by md. i wish i could find a hatchery that is as cost effective as central hatchery . i am open for suggestions.

I am just below you and they got the chicks to me the day after they hatched. What more could a person want?

Beekissed is in West Virginia! Pretty much the same shipping as PA MD. Go for it, call them and ask about shipping times. I ordered from McMurray and they came from Minnesota!

I will have to bookmark this as it looks like I might be moving to Idaho.
How about other meat hybrids like freedom ranger, black broilers, or whatever? any more local sources of these?
