One reason this is so special is that my daughter is a teenager and sometimes with teenagers it seems they are too cool for certain things. But apparently not chickens!

Also, our last pet, a kitty, we had to get rid of because of my DH's asthma. We haven't had a pet in several years. To find out how cuddly and personable chickens are is a wonderful discovery.
