Best things to know about ducklings

If the Pekin mother, mothers the ducklingsnaturally, then shell have to Brood them at night, and lead the way to the feeds.

And if she monitors them around, and walk them to the side of the river. But not brooding them when in need. Then do not let the ducklings go outside or for swimming. Wait until they are about 6 weeks old. By that time they'll have been grown a juvenile plumage and can produce their own oil gland.

Important note: a special gland called the uropygia is one key physical trait that helps keep ducks on top of water. Since duck feathers resist getting saturated with water. The bird weigh less than they would if their feathers absorbed that water. Withought uropygia gland to render them waterproof, ducks would drown.

So best wishes for your duckling ✨🌻
Ok thanks so much for all your help

Also I was wondering do I have to wait till their a certain. Age or like in the wild where they live outside their whole life
when their 1 week old in the comfort of a motherly figure and in good warmth. including daily check ups every 2 hours during day they should be fine. when they are with the chicken at a young age their minds think of the chicken as their mother
