best time of day?

what is the best time of day to check for eggs? We had our first the other day, and now the kids have egg fever....they go outside in their jammies the second they wake up to check for more! And it is 20 degrees with 14 inches of snow! I need an "eggspert" to tell them the best time....cuz they dont listen to me!!

Lol too cute. They lay all times of the day. They usually lay an hour later each day and a day of rest. Just pick two times to check like 9am and 7pm or just let them have fun running out and looking all day!!

Mine lay from 7am - 5pm. At noon, I can go in and get about 2 dozen (if customers show up and I don't have any in the fridge) but then I wait until 5pm to collect the rest of them.
