Best time to hatch eggs

it gets cold everywhere just about this time of year .. it could be done but alot is going to be setup .. one thing you likely wont want is them to be stuck in your house more than a maximum of 4 weeks or so, chickens are dirty dusty stinky animals .. so, if you can manage getting an outdoor coop setup with an enclosed area they can stay out of the weather in, then its feasible .. your looking at May sometime for eggs likely if you start now ..

I say hatch away! I hatch batches all year. Gives you different age groups in a flock.

Only issue I see (and have dealt with) the power going out. We have a huge generator to power everything, but if it goes out and you’re not there to start everything up... could be loss of a batch. But eh can’t live life in fear. They just need a heat source while incubating and brooding.
