Best time to vacation ducklings?

We are getting 4 ducklings this week from Metzer Farms. My teenagers keep asking when we are going to the lake...in my head I am like, we are not. But realistically can we leave them for a max four days? Obviously with someone to check on them daily and do the cleaning. If so when do you think is best? I would think before they move out of the brooder. Thoughts?

As long as you have someone coming in at least twice a day to feed and water them, they should be alright. As for when, maybe when they are a few week old.

Hahaaaaaa good luck to you. I can barely leave my grown chickens for a vacation, much less if there's babies! I'd be wringing my hands with worry the entire time...but I do have a pretty active (and terrible) imagination.

Just make sure that whoever is watching them is either knowledgeable about ducks or has very clear instructions outlined for them before you leave and they will be fine.

I never go anywhere unless it's day trips. I haven't found anyone reliable to take care of my animals. Hope you can.

If the weather is good and you have adequate predator protection, yes.

Thanks for the replies! I can probably get my older sister to stay at my house and keep watch. My mom is 5 minutes away and is very knowledgable, but she is known to convince all my kids and animals to prefer her over me. I really want them to imprint on me so maybe I'll send the fam off on vacation without me.
