Yeah. Me, too. That's why I was planning on moving to Uruguay. But I didn't get my house sold before the crash and since then, between the fall of the dollar and the inflation in Uruguay, that $30,000 beach front cottage now costs $120,000, so I guess I won't be going after all.

If your lungs are healthy, foreclosures on the Big Island of Hawaii are dirt cheap and some of them have been on the market for over 2 years, so I bet the banks would take half of what they are asking. There are dozens of them for less than $30,000, could probably get them for $15,000 and some of them are really cute and have half a acre of land. Not right on the water, but within a mile of the ocean.

Wow good prices,but i have bad lungs,asthma and silica sand in lungs. Bummer!
