What did you do in the garden today?

Mine won't TOUCH spinach, kale, cabbage, head lettuce, chard, or mustard greens. And they hike their skirts up and run away from wooly bears and tomato worms.

Mine go full-on frenzy mode when there are greens to be had. It's nuts! Even though they get them regularly, you'd think they hadn't seen greens in ages!

Even cooked, I don't like the stems. Afraid to feed them to the chickens because they're so stringy, possible crop issues, so compost pile it is.

chickens love chard stems. I chop them.

My chickens eat everything we can and then some... It's a blessing and a curse. I like the lizards, I wish they'd leave the lizards alone. I wish they'd eat all the weeds..... But no, they would rather eat all my fruit tree leaves, my scraps, my garden, my sandwich, my coffee....
