Hello friends. I hope you've had a nice day today. I have been going back and forth on everything with Darla today. I keep questioning my thoughts on what to treat for. This morning her crop was still full of contents but not rock hard. She's not overindulging with water but I have witnessed her drinking. Another thing I noticed late yay was her comb tips turning dark. She's always breathed loudly (my apologies for the improper Grammer). Not a rattle but whenever she's held, you'll hear her. I'm not 100% if the noise is on inspiration or exhalation or if that matters. Whenever it's really hot, she'll do this occasionally. It's not every breath either. It's just occasionally. Last summer I tried nebulizing Oxine mixture but didn't see a difference. I've considered that she has aspergillus (? my brain is not working properly but where they have inhaled a spore) but would that cause a crop issue in later stages? I've considered that she does not have vent gleet since her vent isn't messy/doesn't seem to be involved or irritated, it's more under her vent like she has loose poops diarrhea. I've also considered that her crop is impacted but it does seem to change in size a little bit. I'm willing to attempt crop surgery but I'd absolutely hate to put her through that if it's unnecessary. I know that it's impossible for you to say one way or another, but do you have any thoughts? I did find that Fluconazole treats aspergillus (again I apologize for the spelling) so that helped me feel a teeny bit better. I'm going to try to get more from my MD tomorrow but otherwise, I have three 50mg doses left and I'm sure that won't be enough. Before I read the replies I gave her a quarter of a 200mg Fluconazole and then applied Nystatin cream to her vent. She gobbled up my dab of cream that I had on the side of the tub, before I realized it. Im a bit worried about that. She seems hungry but will only take very small bits of whatever I'm offering. I'm sure she's aware that her crop is full. She does put her head down and look like her crop of something is painful, but it's only brief moments. I just feel like she's trying to figure out why her crop hurts. Do you have any thoughts. I'll eagerly read whatever you have to offer, good and/or bad. I'm so worried and would have her at a vet if that was an option right now but it's not.
