Best treats for quail?

Do they like apples, bananas, or strawberries?
Nope, mine don’t don’t like anything sweet and soft, no grapes, blueberries, banana, or apple. Cucumber is a favorite, mine like dandelion greens, and certain soft, green weeds, but aren’t as much of grass eaters as chickens are. If you chop the greens up until they’re less than a quarter inch (smaller better) they will have an easier time digesting them. Sprouts of all sorts are popular too.

Bugs are by far their favorite treat and mine love mealworms and the various species of roaches and cricket I breed for my reptiles.
I think a lot of live insect protein as chicks helps them grow fast and keeps them active.

Millet sprays for parrots are popular since they like to peck, other small seeds are generally taken as well. Mine avoid whole sunflower seeds and cracked corn unless they’re in tiny pieces.

My quail are scared of my hand and don't like to be touched, however when I bring out the Meal worms and watermelon they turn into ravenous little beasts with no regard for species loyalty, their safety or the safety of my hand. They love it. Almost reminds me of a dog whenever you are about to go for walkies.

The farm that I volunteer at had two of what BYC has told me are female japanese coturnix quail dropped off. What treats do they like? Do they like scratch and mealworms for chickens? I always bring treats for the chickens, sheep, and peacocks, and I don't want to leave them out.
Hope this helps a list of what they can and cant have

Wow u got lots of variants.... Do they all get on? We have calis and a bobwhite and we hatching fehrohs, Mexican whites and snow whites... They will all be housed together... So any tips on introducing them to each other would be fab ty xx
I add new coturnix at 4-5 weeks. I have never tried mixing in other types of quail aside from buttons and do not recommend it. Mixing birds has it’s challenges, even in a large space. I had a quail pick a fight with my duck yesterday and my young male pheasant is overdue to be removed from the group.
